Welcome to the London Society of Magician’s Club Web Site.
The London Society of Magicians is one of London’s most distinguished, creative and sociable Magic Clubs.
Magicians ranging from beginners to professionals of all ages meet to discuss the Magic Arts and perform Magic Effects. We have a varied and exciting calendar of events including Magic Competitions and Professional Guest Lectures.
We will be starting our new Events Calendar on the 10th January 2012 and we are encouraging new members to join at the earliest and not to miss the first kick-off for 2012.

Tuesday 24th April – ‘Davenports Dealers Day’

The next LSM meeting will be on Tuesday 24th April and it’s ‘Davenports Dealers Day’.
Hosted by Bill Davenport and will include performances from the two Dan’s!.
This session will give us all an opportunity to see some of Davenports finest Magic items and give us inspiration towards our next magic purchase!

Tuesday 10th April – The Great Sebastiano

The next meeting at the London Society of Magicians will be held on Tuesday 10th April. We have organised a Lecture to be given by ‘The Great Sebastiano’.
The Great Sebastiano will guide us through some of the essential sleights that every true magician should have in his or her repertoire, there’s advice on performing and creating magic in the real world and lots of other stuff!
The Great Sebastiano is the author of ‘The Book of Magic Bollocks’, which is an irreverent magic book published by Wizard FX Productions. He will demonstrate several effects from his working repertoire in order to illustrate some of the classic techniques in the book, and also deliver material about marketing, web sites and acquiring bookings. He will talk about the different types of audience and how to deal with them, and why it’s so easy to take the mickey out of us magicians!
I hope to see you all at the Lecture to help give The Great Sebastiano a good Audience!
London Society Of Magicians – 27th March – Bridger Lewis Competition

The next LSM meeting will be on Tuesday 27th March and it’s the ‘Bridger Lewis Competition’.
It will consist of Stage performances by Members. The best stage performer will win and get a prize!

Tuesday 28th Feb – No Cards Allowed

The next LSM meeting is on Tuesday 28th Feb and the theme is “No Cards Allowed”.
The name says it all, anything goes except for ‘Card magic’!. This will be a really good night because we get to see all sorts of creative tricks that don’t rely on cards.
With tradition, if any cards are seen then you will earn a forfeit. You might even be made to perform the trick with a clown wig and red nose 
Magic Parcels – Tuesday 24th January

Next Tuesday 24th Jan is ‘Magic Parcels’ evening.
For this evening we get into different groups and are given a magic parcel. The parcels will contain magic tricks that we need to figure out how they work and perform them back to the club.
If you have any magic tricks, props or gimmicks that you think might be appropriate please bring them in. Please enclose them in an envelope or parcel to keep them secret.
I’m looking forward to this because the same evening last year was really good!

David Ginn Kidbiz Live Lecture on Friday, November 11th

London Society of Magicians would like to invite everyone to David Ginn’s Kidbiz Live Lecture!
This is going to be David Ginn’s only UK lecture this year and will contain 95% of new material.
Admission £10 is (includes free DVD for the first 40 people to book. Just tell Bob Pamplin that you are going and they will put you on the free DVD list).
Lecture will be held on Friday, November 11th at 7pm at Davenports Magic Studio, 7 Charing Cross Underground Arcade, The Strand, London WC2N 4HZ

BOS Night – 25th October

Next week’s LSM meeting will be on the 25th October and will be the BOS night!
If you have any effect’s that looked great in the shop but not so great when you took them home, bring them in!
The BOS night will give everyone an opportunity to perform, give away, burn or lose anything we bought that we no longer want!
We look forward to seeing some fun effects and to have a laugh.

Graham is not only great magician but also one of the UK’s leading balloon artists and has a talent for making balloon art that gets noticed.
